Olga Gbur, nee Soroka, passed away June 17, 2009 in Naperville, IL. She was born in Dobra, Ukraine to John and Sophie Soroka, August 19, 1927. She married Andrew Gbur, April 27, 1946 and together they had five sons. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Andrew and by her parents, John and Sophie Soroka, her sister, Mary (Kramer), and her sons Myron (late Harriet) and Gregory (Anita). Also preceded by granddaughter Lisa. She is survived by sons, Michael (Susan), Garry (Barbara) and Andrew (Beverly). Olga has fourteen other grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren - the treasures of her life. Olga is also survived by her brothers, Walter and Myron (Elaine), her sister Lillian (Gene) as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. Other dear family ties include many cousins. Special friends who came to know her throughout her life all have appreciated how special a person she was. She was a bright light in all our hearts and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A gathering for family and friends is planned for July.
